ANTHONY RAY DONALD IS BEING PROSECUTED

FOR THIS CRIME AND OTHERS FOR FAILING TO MAKE ANY EFFORT

TO MAKE RESTITUTION; THE COURT DATE IS

MAY 9 AT 0900 HOURS IN COURTROOM 173. 

Mr. Tim Harris, District Attorney of Tulsa County:

Nine months ago at the R&K gunshow, Anthony Donald wrote a check in the amount of $850 for a Taurus PT101AF with three clips and 15 boxes of ammunition.

That same day Anthony sold the Taurus to a Tulsa Policeman who had a table at the show; the ammunition to different ammunition dealers and he made a nice profit . . . at least $850! 

I asked in a letter dated September 16, 2010, if there had been any progress in this matter as to prosecution. 

I received a check from your office in the amount of $25. December 16, 2010.

One check in nine months.  At this rate the “restitution” will take 306 months, or 25 years and six months for me to be re-reimbursed for the $850 check.  As I am presently 74 years old, I will have to live to be 101 years and six months before the slate is clean. 

I sold the firearm because I needed the money then, not over a 25 year period at less than a whopping $2.78 per month!

You are aware that Anthony Donald has written several other checks; none as great as this one, FOR A FIREARM, and we both know what the Oklahoma Statute of purchasing a FIREARM with a bad check is.  I believe the minimum sentence for such a crime is 5 years in prison, the last time I looked.

Justice is NOT BEING SERVED.  I have been patient.  Just this afternoon the News on 23 reported a big deal of arresting and throwing in jail a man for having some dirty pictures on his cell phone.  I forget what his bond is but whatever it is it is higher than that imposed on a pervert . . . who has not harmed anyone.

Anthony Donald has harmed me to the tune of $850.  I had NOT marked up the firearm and ammunition to make a profit, $850. is what it cost me!

It puts my panties in a wad when I see your picture and advertisement in businesses all over Tulsa and especially in the Crescent Café in Sand Springs where I frequently eat that boast that you prosecute bogus check writers. 

You’re preparing to send a pervert to prison who has harmed no one.  Granted, this pervert may degenerate beyond simple private pornography but as yet he has harmed no one.  Anthony Donald has directly harmed several people and businesses and you let him roam free to continue his paper-hanging profession. 

I am 74 years old.  You should not make me wait 25 more years for Justice.  I would be satisfied if you prosecuted Anthony Donald under the Oklahoma Firearms statute that assesses a minimum of 5 years for the crime he committed: KNOWINGLY BUYING A FIREARM WITH A BOGUS CHECK and it would not hurt to add KNOWINGLY SELLING AN ILLEGALLY ACQUIRED firearm. 

This proper prosecution would not restore my loss but it would prevent anyone else from being screwed by this individual for five years and that would be a deterrent from his fleecing more after he serves his sentence.
